Just a quick look at the match in capital of Portugal, Lisboa. After high scoring draw in Holland, teams will meet for return leg and finally decide which team is worth playing in group stages.
24/08/2011 Benfica - Twente
Portuguese side is full of technical South Americans - Aimar, Gaitan, Saviola, Cardozo... I've watched last round when they played against Trabzonspor at home and won 2-0. That was one of the best sides I've seen in couple of months. Quick passing, pace, turkish players had no chance and it was only first official match of the season.
Last weekend they played best full squad against Fereinse trying to give preference to attacking football and won 3-1.
Benfica are very experienced team with good record - 13 victories from their last 15 European home games, posting five in succession at the Estádio Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
Twente need to score in order to have chance of advancing to next round. They have to attack and that will give chances to Benfica.
Twente side high on morale after a 5-1 victory at Heerenveen on Saturday. The win, earning sole possession of top spot in the Eredivisie standings, helped soothe frustrations after Nikolay Mihaylov was ruled out with a neck injury, joining attacker Nacer Chadli on the sidelines.
Twente can't match Benfica's experience in European competitions, their only previous appearance in the UEFA Champions League last season, going straight into the group stage after winning their first Dutch title in 2009/10. Also they have troubles playing away - won just one of their last five European away matches.
I expect home side to win by two goals or more and comfortably go through to group stages.
